This is a digitally-edited painting I made last March – painted from memory after seeing a street of boarded-up shops in Waterlooville. Given that I remembered what the street was like during the 2000s and had nostalgic memories of the café that used to be at the end of the street (it wasn’t boarded up, but – even at a glance – it was deserted), or the gigantic two-storey “Ross Records” second-hand CD/DVD/Videogame shop (which was still going during the early -mid 2010s, since I remember selling some old DVDs to them back then) etc… it was more than a little eerie to see it all gone.
As usual, this painting is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.
